Garry Veale
President of Avaya in Europe

Garry Veale leads Avaya’s operations in Europe. In his role, he is responsible for the sales and operational management of the company’s activities within the region. His objective is to capture both market and wallet share in both enterprise and mid-markets segments. Garry believes in a pro-active and ‘can-do’ approach to business and leads a customer-centric, partner-engaged sales model where customer satisfaction and loyalty is the goal.

Much of Garry’s career was spent at the IBM and EMC corporations where he held several executive leadership positions including Vice President of Northern EMEA and EMEA Vice President of Partners/Channels. In addition, he was EMEA Vice President and General Manager of the HP Storage Works Division. He has also worked for a number of start-ups including, Violin Memory.

Away from work, Garry resides in the UK with his wife and their four children. He is an avid sports enthusiast, a native of Wales and holds three degrees including an MBA degree from Cardiff Business School.

Marc Randall
Senior VP and General Manager, Avaya Networking

Marc Randall is Senior Vice President & General Manager, Avaya Networking. Avaya is a global provider of business collaboration and communications solutions.

In this role, Marc oversees the foundation for the data networking business with a focus on growing the networking business into a world class innovative market leader.

Marc joins Avaya from Cisco Systems, where he was most recently vice president & general manager of the Scalable Network Business Unit. Previously, Marc held senior positions including president and CEO of Force10 Networks and senior vice president at Brocade Communications.

Marc has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry University Phoenix.

Gary E. Barnett
Senior Vice President & General Manager, Engagement Solutions

Gary Barnett is senior vice president and general manager of the Engagement Solutions business unit at Avaya, the leading provider of customer and team engagement solutions. In his current role, Barnett has responsibility for Avaya's customer engagement, team engagement and mobile engagement portfolios.

Gary joined Avaya in April 2011 and prior to his current role, he led the Collaboration Platforms and UC Applications team. Gary is also a domain expert who was a founding engineer at Octel, the founder and CEO of Prospect Software, and later served as president and CEO of Aspect Communications.

As executive vice president and Chief Technology Officer at Aspect Software, Gary was responsible for corporate planning, product architecture and lifecycle management. He directed strategic partnerships and long-term product integration plans in support of enterprise-level applications.

Gary has delivered outstanding leadership and stakeholder value as either a Chief Executive Officer or Chief Technology Officer for over 20 years and is recognized worldwide as an authority on contact center technologies and solutions. In 2006, Mr. Barnett was recognized by the contact center industry with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gary and Sharon Barnett have been married for 31 years and reside in San Jose, California, and Brentwood, Tennessee.

Jean Turgeon
VP and Chief Technologist, Software Defined Architecture

Jean Turgeon is currently VP Technical Solutions Marketing, Avaya responsible to developing and promoting cross portfolio solutions across all business units at Avaya. Prior his new role, JT was VP, Portfolio & Solutions Strategy responsible for all Avaya’s Enterprise data portfolio. His role consisted of providing strategic directions for R&D investment in building competitive Enterprise data solutions. He has a broad knowledge with 29 years of experience in networking designs and implementation. This knowledge ranges from various WAN, LAN and Gateway technology as well as Unified Communications, open system architecture frameworks, data center, campus and branch solutions to name a few with both global service providers and enterprise customers. Jean brings a wealth of expertise that enterprise customers and partners greatly value. Jean also has an MBA which combined with his technical background enables him to lead the Enterprise data portfolio and its future development.

Roberto Schmidl
Vice President, Global Cloud Sales

Roberto Schmidl is the Vice President of the Global Avaya Private Cloud Services Sales team at Avaya. In his role Roberto is driving the Go-To-Markets strategy for Avaya Private Cloud Services (APCS).

Roberto brings over 20 years of professional experience within the technology industry and multinational environment. Before joining the Cloud Sales organization at Avaya, he was the theatre lead for Client Services in EMEA and was responsible for various lines of business throughout the years: Professional Services, Global Support Services (GSS) and Avaya Operations or Managed Services (AOS). He has a strong track record of success now and in previous roles within Avaya. Including Director of Channel Services EMEA where he was responsible for executing tactical and strategic growth initiatives, increasing Channel Services Revenue, and resolving Services Operational and Quality issues with the goal of dramatically improving the Customer and Partner experience with ACS and Business Planning and Operations Director.

Prior to his time at Avaya, Roberto held various leadership positions within Lucent Technologies and CompuServe Central Europe.
