EXPENSE MANAGEMENT


Q. Is there an Avaya cost center to cross charge expenses for this event?

A. There will be no cross charging allowed for this event. All expenses will be the responsibility of the individual, including:

  • Travel (airline tickets and all associated fees)
  • Transportation (cab/rideshare, gas, mileage)
  • Hotel Accommodations
  • Individual sponsorship and greens fees
  • Meals (except those included with greens fee)
  • Account manager sponsorship of customers/partners/vendors to attend


TRAVEL / TRANSPORTATION


Q. What is the nearest airport?

A. The following airports and train station are near Baltusrol Golf Club:

  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) approx. 15 miles
  • LaGuardia Airport (LGA) approx. 35 miles
  • John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) approx. 45 miles
  • Newark Penn Station (NWK) approx. 12 miles

Q. Will transportation be provided to/from the event?

A. No, there will be no shuttle service available from airports to/from hotels or hotels to/from the golf club. Please plan accordingly.

COURSE INFORMATION


Q. What is included in my greens fee?

A. Your greens fee includes:

  • Parking at Baltursol Golf Club
  • 18 holes of golf at Baltusrol Golf Club (upper course)
  • Food & beverage (brunch prior to start, snacks/drinks on course and post-event reception)
  • Use of locker rooms
  • Use of practice range prior to event start
  • Caddie
    • Please note that this is a walking course. Two (2) caddies will be provided per foursome. No carts are permitted on the course without a doctor’s note and approval from club management.

Q. What is the weather like?

A. Temperatures in New Jersey range in the mid to upper-80’s. More accurate forecasts will be available as the event date draws near.


Q. Is there a dress code?

A. Yes, Baltusrol Golf Club maintains a country club dress code. Please refer to their site for a list of acceptable and non-acceptable options for men and women while on club grounds.


Q. What is the event cancellation policy?

A. This event is rain or shine. Day-of adjustments due to inclement weather will be made by club management based on the playability of the course.


Q. Can I play Baltusrol either before or after the event?

A. Unfortunately, Baltusrol is a private course. No additional rounds of golf are allowed pre or post-event.


Q. Are rental clubs available?

A. Yes. Rental sets are available at a cost of $65. If you require a rental set, please contact the golf shop directly with your request no later than AUGUST 15 to secure a set. Phone number: 973-921-3761.


Q. Can I ship my clubs to the club in advance of the event date?

A. Yes. If you would like to ship your clubs in advance of the event date, please contact our Events Manager Teodora to arrange receipt and storage.



SPONSOR/VOLUNTEER INFORMATION


Q. Is there a limit to how many players can participate?

A. Yes, we have space for 120 golfers.


Q. What is the deadline to register?

A. The deadline to register and pay for your round/foursome is August 15.


Q. What types of sponsorship are available?

A. There are a variety of player and non-player sponsorships available. Visit our website for more information.


Q. Who is eligible to participate?

A. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome to participate and sponsor at the Inaugural Avaya Charity Golf Outing. This event is open to Avaya Partners, Customers, Vendors and Employees. No MDF funds are available for this event. All expenses incurred must be paid by the individual or organization.


Q. How do I volunteer at the event?

A. A very limited number of volunteer spaces are available for qualified individuals. Please email golf@avaya.com if you are interested in placing your name on the waiting list. If selected as a volunteer, you are still required to pay for your own expenses related to travel and accommodations. Additionally, you will be assigned a role (i.e. set-up, tear-down, check-in, manning a hole, etc.), and are not allowed to play in the event.
