Jim Chirico is President and Chief Executive Officer of Avaya, Inc., which enables the mission critical, real-time communication applications of the world’s most important operations. He assumed his new role on October 1, 2017, after previously serving as Chief Operating Officer and Global Sales Leader.

Jim brings depth of experience and consistent results as a business and operational leader in the technology industry, successfully leading teams in sales, worldwide operations, manufacturing and development. Since joining Avaya in 2008, he has been instrumental in the development of the company’s industry-leading business model, including record EBITDA performance, gross margin expansion and best-in-class Net Promoter Score.

In his previous role as COO, Jim was responsible for Global Sales, Global Operations, Human Resources and Quality. Jim optimized Avaya’s global business processes, stabilized sales and has led the company’s effort for Chapter 11 Emergence. In addition, he drove cross-functional alignment of key initiatives, including integration of all acquisitions and enterprise restructuring efforts.

Jim joined Avaya in January 2008 from Seagate Technology, where he was Executive Vice President, Global Operations, Development and Manufacturing. At Seagate, he led a team of more than 50,000 employees located in 14 facilities worldwide, successfully driving step- function change in the operational effectiveness of the organization.

Jim began his career at IBM in 1980, progressing through line leadership and corporate assignment positions to become a Site General Manager and WW Manufacturing Leader. He received a B.S. in Marketing from Providence College in Rhode Island.

Simon Harrison is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, leading the global marketing function to engage new and existing customers and partners, drive adoption of the company’s software solutions and support Avaya as the leading player in a dynamic digital communications market.

Simon joined Avaya in 2020 from leading research and advisory firm, Gartner, where he was research director and lead analyst for the Unified Communications and Contact Center market. In a career spanning over 25 years he has been a thought leader, product strategist, marketer and consultant in the communications solutions industry. Prior to Gartner, he held leadership roles in Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing and Product Management for companies like Cirrus, Vocalcom, Siebel Systems and others.

Anthony Bartolo is Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer. He is responsible for driving Avaya’s leadership through its product portfolio, which includes oversight of product development, product management, emerging technologies and corporate strategy across the company’s premise and cloud-based Unified Communications, Contact Center and Collaboration solutions.

Anthony returned to Avaya as an accomplished, proven communications industry and product leader with a career spanning nearly three decades. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Tata Communications Limited and in senior executive roles previously at Avaya and Nortel.

Anthony received his Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honors from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.

Galib Karim is the Vice President for Americas International region, which includes 43 countries. With 20 years of experience in high technology and telecommunications industry, he has a broad knowledge of the market creating successful relationships.

Galib served as General Director for Mexico and previously as General Director of Nortel, Director of Service Providers, Director of Enterprise Networks and channel manager for the Area North of Latin America of Bay Networks.

Galib holds a degree in computer science from one of the most prestigious Universities in México, also has an AD1 from IPADE and studies in leadership and program business planning from the London Business School in London.

GGaston Tanoira is Director of New Business Development, Avaya Americas International. He has a high-performance, is enthusiastic and dedicated high tech leader.

He has 20 years of experience in sales growth, business development, marketing, channel management and virtual team building. Accomplished in defining and executing go-to-market strategies for existing and new technologies in Enterprise, SMB, Public Sector and Service Provider segments, in both established and emerging markets. Known for excellent cross- functional teamwork and outstanding people development and coaching on a variety of cultures.

Manuel Torres currently works as Director of Advanced Architecture for Avaya Caribe and Latin America where he is in charge of leading the team of Engineers who design Communications, Collaboration, Digital Transformation and Innovation Solutions for business clients in Latin America

Manuel Torres has more than 20 years in the Telecommunications market where he has held different roles in Engineering and Commercial areas. Additionally, he has played the role of Solutions Consultant for Unified Communications and Contact Centers where he has supported companies to maximize their communication systems and customer service.

Manuel Torres is an Electronic Systems Engineer graduated from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies.

Carlos Bertholdi is Strategic Services Leader for Avaya Latin America. He is a seasoned management professional who has been employed within Avaya for 18 years and is responsible for closing top contracts above $10 million worldwide.

Over the course of his career, he has provided leadership in sales, including P&L ownership, services lines of business, strategic alliances, and other supporting functions for multinational companies in various positions of increasing responsibility, including Siemens R&D in Munich and formal member of Bell Labs.

From January 2015 to June 2016, Mr. Bertholdi served Avaya in the executive position of Managing Director and President for Avaya Brazil. In this key managerial capacity, Mr. Bertholdi managed the Brazil’s operations by developing strategic change, strengthening alliances and aligning with global business imperatives.

In July 2015, Mr. Bertholdi was transferred to the United States to assume the managerial position of VP of Services Sales for Americas International, located in Miami, Florida. In this key strategic capacity, Mr. Bertholdi maintains ownership of a group of key accounts, and provides excellence in servicing and growing those accounts.

Bertholdi is a master’s degree in Computer Science and has bachelor’s degree on Electric Engineering. With assignments in several countries, including Africa, Asia and Europe, he has deep knowledge on market demands, business transformation, software and solution development, including customer and business management.

Maggie es egresada del Instituto Politécnico Nacional, de la carrerea de Administración Industrial, cuenta con una Maestría en Mercadotecnia y Publicidad por la universidad Anáhuac del Norte. Entre los pasatiempos favoritos de Maggie está la yoga y pilates.
